Italy advance to Euro finals

Italy has got the results it was after in order to advance to the quarter finals of Euro 2012.

The Italians have beaten Republic of Ireland 2-nil in their final match of group C in Poznan.

Their spot in the next round has been confirmed thanks to Spain, who have ended Croatia's tournament with a 1-nil win in Gdansk.

Spain top the group, with Italy qualifying in second.
