2-2 draw leaves Everton feeling robbed

Share |

By: Andy Rowe | Football News | Tuesday September 18 2012 10:28

Everton feels robbed following its dramatic 2-all draw to Newcastle at Goodison Park.

Twice the home side were in the lead and twice halftime substitute Demba Ba equalised, with his second coming in the 90th minute.

However Everton fans were infuriated when officials disallowed the Merseysiders a goal in the 60th minute following a dubious offside call.

Then with 12 minutes to play, Victor Anichebe was denied his second goal from a header.

The second incident will no doubt re-ignite the debate around goal line technology, with the ball blatantly crossing the line before being cleared by Newcastle.
