The New Zealand women's football team for the London Olympics has been named. Striker Emma Kete, midfielder Holly Patterson and young defender Katie Bowen have missed out on the 18-strong squad after taking part in the recent internationals against China and Australia. Former age group striker Rosie White has returned from a serious knee injury to make the squad. German-based defender Rebecca Smith will captain the team.
