New club to be called the 'Wanderers'

The new Western Sydney A-League football club will be known as the Wanderers.

Club chairman Lyall Gorman's also announced the club's colours will be red, black and white.

Former Newcastle Jets skipper Tarek Elrich is among the club's first signings.

Their first round robin match is against Central Coast in October, while their first game against the Wellington Phoenix comes in early December.
