The Australian Olympic Committee has terminated Stuart O'Grady's membership with its Athletes Commission after the cyclist failed to respond to its requests to resign.
The six-time Olympian confessed to using the banned blood booster EPO in the lead-up to the 1998 Tour de France, prompting the AOC calling for him to step down.
Despite expecting him to take up the offer, they had no response and decided to dismiss him from the role.
O'Grady has also been axed as an ambassador of AFL club Port Adelaide.
