Doha unveils Olympic plans

Doha officials unveiled their plans should they win the right to host the 2020 Olympic Games.

Unlike their counterparts who won the right to host the 2022 FIFA World Cup, they have opted for an October date and not the searing temperatures in July.

Doha's competing against Istanbul, Tokyo and Madrid, who finished third and second respectively behind Rio de Janeiro for the 2016 edition, plus Baku.

The ultimate winner will be voted in Buenos Aires on September 7 next year.
