The San Francisco Giants have claimed a 2-0 lead over the Detroit Tigers in baseball's World Series.

The Giants have downed the Tigers 2-0 in game two, scoring runs in the seventh and eighth innings.

Madison Bumgarner led the way for San Francisco, pitching seven scoreless innings.

81 percent of the time, teams that have won the opening two games have gone on to win the title.

The best of seven game series now moves to Detroit, with game three on Sunday.
