The New Zealand Olympic team's official uniform has been unveiled at a gala dinner in Auckland. The formal and casual wear collections have been based on the last time New Zealand athletes went to London in 1948, as Newstalk ZB's Juliette Sivertsen reports. "It was just a team of seven New Zealand athletes, and they travelled by ship to the Olympic games. The key elements in this design, which is quite distinct in that it links us back to that heritage, is the white piping on the edge of the blazers," she says. The function at the Viaduct Events Centre is a glitzy affair, with everyone dressed to the nines, and excited about the upcoming Games. Photo: Photosport |
