Harness trainer sidelined until doping appeal heard

Top Kiwi harness trainer Tim Butt will remain on the sidelines until his appeal over horse doping is heard.

Butt has been suspended for six months after his horse Raglan returned a positive swab to arsenic in November's Miracle Mile.

He had asked for a stay in proceedings so he could continue to train his horses while he appeals both the verdict and the sentence.

But that's been denied and he will be sidelined until his appeal has been heard.
