Willis, van Dalen take out Cooks Classic

Kiwi Olympians Nick Willis and Lucy van Dalen have shown their class at the Cooks Classic in Wanganui.

Willis has recorded the 59th New Zealand sub-four minute mile, to take out the main event at the iconic Cooks Gardens.

The Beijing silver medallist has won in a time of 3m 58.09s.

van Dalen has kicked home in the women's race, finishing well clear of the field in 4m 36.07s.
