Triathlon New Zealand head coach Greg Fraine has given up calculating how Andrea Hewitt can win the world championship. Hewitt's 11th place finish in Yokohama has dropped her to fourth in the overall standings ahead of this month's grand final in Auckland. Fraine says with the finale carrying extra weighting it throws up any number of scenarios. He says if Hewitt finished fourth, she could still be overtaken by someone finishing fifth which makes calculations pointless. Greg Fraine says Hewitt will train in Christchurch in the lead-up to the race alongside her partner and fellow triathlete Laurent Vidal. Photo: Andrea Hewitt (Supplied) |
