Pure Black Racing is rising from the dead.
Seemingly extinguished towards the end of last year due to financial troubles, the New Zealand funded cycling team will be back on the road tomorrow in the Tour of Langkawi.
They've come together with Bike NZ and Avanti to get back up and running.
Business Director Greg Cross says the whole drama has a silver lining.
He says in some respects it makes it a lot easier because there's now more chance of success.
Top Kiwi cyclist Sam Bewley will ride for the six strong team in Malaysia.
