Organisers of the Auckland stopover for the Volvo Ocean Race are scrambling to ensure they have everything in place to deal the arrival of the fleet in early March.
They're awaiting the arrival of 140 containers that hold the contents of what will become the event village.
Event director Tom Mayo says marshalling spectators on the water is also going to be a tricky task to organise.
Mayo says they'll have a fleet of around 40 craft monitoring and marshalling the area the whole time that boats are coming in.
Mayo says meteorologists still expect the boats to arrive around March 8, despite the delayed start to the leg.
Team New Zealand entry Camper has made a strong start to the fourth leg from Sanya to Auckland.
After starting from fifth, nine minutes behind overall race leader Telefonica, Camper has moved up to second in the first 24 hours.
French entry Groupama leads by around two nautical miles from Camper with Abu Dhabi Racing third and Telefonica fourth.
