Light winds in Bermuda have come at the right time for Emirates Team New Zealand.

The Kiwi syndicate has been making repairs to its damaged hull suffered in a collision with Ben Ainslie's BAR Racing on Wednesday.

Team New Zealand expect to be back out on the water Saturday Bermuda time after the final day of practice racing.

However crew member Blair Tuke told Radio Sport Breakfast the other syndicates haven't been able to race either.

"We've still got plenty more time to be out there and training before that first race verse France, so lucky for us actually that yesterday, today and tomorrow look really soft, it's basically glass out there, no wind at all so we've really timed it quite well with the weather gods."
