Kieran Read expects the British and Irish Lions to be at their bullocking best when they arrive down under.
The Lions squad features a host of international experience Read will match up against in the loose forward department.
He told the Radio Sport Breakfast they have some great ball carrying forwards.
Read said it's a big squad and you can probably see the style they play.
"It's such a big squad that there's going to be quality guys in the team.
"I'll probably have a look at it over the next day or so, but once you kind of know those guys you know potentially the kind of style they're going to play, but it's pretty hard to pick this far out."
Read also welcomed the re-signing of Sam Whitelock with New Zealand Rugby until 2020.
He said it's a big win to have Whitelock re-commit.
"Good news for us and for Sammy as well. I'm pretty stoked, he's a good mate of mine, and he's had a little baby as well so it's good for him, good timing, and it's going to be great for the Crusaders and the All Blacks."
Read has previously indicated he will re-sign but it is yet to be confirmed.
