The Sports Vox is all about giving you, our listeners, the chance to have your say on the big talking points in sport. 12-3pm Monday to Friday, we leave the interviews to the other shows and it's all about sport talkback. We debate the big issues, review the big games and well we just talk sport!
Some of The Sports Vox's regular features include, Sports Cluedo, Sports Flicks, Game with No Name and Damned Lies and Statistics. On Friday's Kent lets producer Kerrie have a go with the weekly Token Gesture, letting the girls have their say. We also like to reward our valued listeners with all callers given the chance to be crowned The Vox of the Week and have their call replayed for all to hear on a Friday afternoon.
Kent has been with Radio Sport since 1999. After slaving away for countless years he was rewarded with his first fulltime radio job producing for Graeme Hill on Afternoon Sport, the show he now hosts. Kent's first crack at hosting, however, was on Night Sport, co hosting with Kath Harby-Williams, as one half of the Night Riders. After three years on the night shift he moved to weekend breakfast shows until he took over the Afternoon slot and The Sports Vox was born in January 2012.
