Breakfast producer knocked down at rugby match

Share |

Monday, September 24, 2012

King Country may have seen better days after Thames Valley beat them 28-18 in the Heartland Championship, but they weren’t the only ones left worse for wear.

Soon after the start of the second half, referee Angus Mabey (who also produces Radio Sport’s breakfast programmes) found himself knocked to the deck by a player and lay on the ground winded, with the game coming to a halt via a warning to players over the PA system.

Not a great start for the debutant Heartland Championship referee…
