Usain Bolt's extraordinary Olympic triple-treble is no more.

The Jamaican will have to hand back one of his gold medals he won at the Beijing Games in 2008 after 4x100 metre teammate Nesta Carter has tested positive for a banned substance.

The International Olympic Committee retested 454 doping samples last year, which found a banned stimulant in Carter's sample.

Nesta Carter helped Jamaica to gold in the 4x100m four years later in London as well as three World Championships.

It'll leave Usain Bolt with eight Olympic gold medals.
