The fairytale that turned into a nightmare.
Brendon Hartley's Formula 1 career came to an end this morning after it was announced Toro Rosso had replaced him on their team.
Analyst Mike Clark says that it has been a tumultuous year for the Kiwi, with the end of his career having been discussed for much of the last year.
Clark told D'Arcy and Goran that he hopes Hartley remembers the year for what it was rather than the downside of it.
"If he never drives a Formula 1 car again, I hope he can look back and look with pride at how he was there for an entire season."
Clark says Hartley should be pleased he got there on his own merits.
