Two of New Zealand Rugby's most influential figures will close the book on their respective tenures at the same time.
NZR CEO Steve Tew and All Blacks coach Steve Hansen will both step down from their roles at the conclusion of the World Cup in Japan.
Tew's been at NZR since 2001 and joked the timely move wasn't planned by the pair.
"We;'re not swapping jobs if that's what you are suggesting. I think it;s not something Steve and I have discussed prior to this, but having spoken to him a lot over the last 48 hours, we both see some nice symmetry to thois. We started together and we'll finish together."
