Kiwi UFC featherweight Dan Hooker will step up to lightweight and fight Ross Pearson at Vector Arena in UFC Fight Night 110.

Englishman Pearson has a 19-13 record in UFC.

The fight, revealed by Hooker on the Radio Sport Breakfast, will be on the undercard of Mark Hunt's heavyweight clash with Derrick Lewis in Auckland on June 11.

Hooker has a 13-7 record at featherweight in UFC including six victories by knock-out.

He'll be looking to bounce back from his last fight in Melbourne last November when he went down to American Jason Knight in a unanimous decision.

The 27-year-old made his promotional debut at the last UFC event in Auckland, beating Ian Entwistle in a first round TKO.
