The boss of the Wellington Phoenix is downplaying their dire situation in the A-League.
After eight games, the 'Nix are dead last on the ladder following a run of miserable results where they've often shot out to a comfortable lead only to give up three points.
Coach Darije Kalezić lambasted the playing group recently, saying they're not a side of winners.
General manager David Dome says it's not all doom and gloom.
"We've got 50 per cent of the job done, in terms of scoring goals.
"So we're relatively comfortable in terms of, you know, the building blocks are there, it's just how do you stop conceding the goals so that you can win games?
Dome says he's not worried about the Phoenix's poor attendance this season, as all of the A-League clubs are struggling.
