Bernard Goodhue, father of All Black centre Jack Goodhue, admits it was a very different change going from a die-hard All Blacks fan, to a parent, when his son first made the side.

While he still avidly loves the All Blacks, it's taken on a new dimension with Jack's inclusion in the national team, and he said he sometimes prefers to watch the games when Jack isn't in the side as it means he's not worrying about him getting injured or making mistakes.

He spoke with Radio Sport's Jason Pine about what it means to have a son over at the Rugby World Cup and how he'll be enjoying it as a fan, and a dad, back home.
