It was a chance happening six months ago, when the Radio Sport Mornings show stumbled across Chorley FC playing in the National League North football competition - the sixth tier of english football.
While reading out some scores from around the globe, Chorley popped up, and as a joke, Piney and Sam decided they'd track their progress for the next six months. They became the official football team of the Radio Sport Mornings show.
Now, six months on, Chorley are heading into their last game of the season with an eye on winning the competition. While they'll need a result to go their way, they've been punching well above their weight and could either win promotion outright, or go to a playoff.
Team manager Jamie Vermiglio caught up with Jason Pine ahead of the weekend to let them know they've got a Kiwi fan base cheering them on, and find out a little more about the club.
