Colin de Grandhomme and Jeet Raval have shone for the Black Caps on day two of the first cricket test against Pakistan at Hagley Oval.
New Zealand is 104 for three at stumps having earlier dismissed Pakistan for 133.
de Grandhomme took six for 41, record figures for a bowler on debut for New Zealand, while Raval has made an unbeaten 55 at the top of the order.
Henry Nicholls is also unbeaten on 29, helping to steady the innings with Raval after Tom Latham, Kane Williamson and Ross Taylor were dismissed cheaply.
