Lydia Ko tied for 70th after bogey-filled round

Kiwi golfer Lydia Ko has struggled in the second round of the US women's Open in Alabama.

The former world number one has managed just one birdie in a bogey-filled five-over round, to be four-over overall.

She's tied for 70th, 14 shots off leader Sarah Jane Smith of Australia who has a four-shot lead.

Some of the field is yet to get underway.

Meanwhile, Danny Lee's produced an improved second round to claw off the bottom of the leaderboard at the latest PGA event in Ohio.

The Kiwi's carded a one-over second round to be 12-over overall, tied for 117th.

American Kyle Stanley leads by one shot at nine-under, midway through his round, with several golfers still on the course.
